Proposal: Fedora G11N Steering Committee

Hi All, I am sure, most of the people working with Fedora I18N, L10N from 5-6 year must be aware regarding Fedora L10N Steering Committee. [1] As far as i know this committee was active around 2009 and very effective. During Fedora G11N activity day discussions, we again felt there is need for some kind of official committee to drive Fedora Globalization activities. Fedora is growing faster with number of different domains and G11N also need to adapt those changes quickly to remain on the track. For this purpose and in line with [1], we were thinking of Fedora Globalization steering committee. I have created initial proposal for it. [2] Its open for feedback, please feel free to share other active members, discuss in your respective language groups. This is just initial proposal and i am sure, we can improve and make it more effective with active participation. Qualification: Engineer in the field of computer networks and computer systems. About me: For the past 15 years, I have been involved in projects to deploy enterprise computer networks based on Fedora and RHEL software. In these projects, he performed the following roles: network architecture developer, system administrator, programmer (Bash, Perl), technical writer. I had to install and debug services: routing, network filtering, Squid proxy, antivirus protection, DNS, FTP, NTP, OpenSSH, OpenSSL, OpenLDAP, Sendmail, Apache, Samba, Bacula, MySQL, and so on. During my participation in these projects, I have accumulated a lot of translations from English of various technical documents (manual, guide, HOWTO). Now I have more free time and I would like to try to use this reserve to translate Fedora documents into Russian, for example, Installation Guide, System Administrator's Guide or manuals. I am a supporter of free software and would like to contribute to its promotion (in the hope that these translations may be useful to someone).

Self-introduction: Kakiremora Lang- Polish

Hello, as said in guide about joining translation team I wanted to introduce myself. I can speak English and Polish. I want to learn Japanese and Polish Sign Language. I want Fedora to be usable by as much people as possible, so I want to delete the language barrier for Polish users. I don't know much about how translation here is organised, but I would like to enable Fedora to be translated to sign languages. I think that Fedora should be doing that, because it would be First then, as in one of the Fedora principles. Sign languages can be written using SignWriting. If you have any questions I'm open. Getting "Forbidden" errors

When I try to add a word to a glossary, or try to dismiss an error check, I got this red banner with "Forbidden" on it and the action fails. I have the same issues on hosted Weblate, too. Anyone else experiencing this?

Portuguese (Portugal) langauge - pt

Hi, The website in Portuguese (Portugal) language was working properly but now when the p tis chosen the website is a total mess, showing English with Portuguese, and even Portuguese (Brazil) translations. Hello everyone! I would like to interject for a moment... to introduce myself. I'm Andrey (or Andrew, it doesn't matter to me that much) from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. *Login*: lazycarrot *Language*: Russian *Profession*: I'm a finance manager at one of the Societe Generale's russian divisions. Also recently I've started to help our IT technicians deploy, maintain and teach people how to use Linux machines for remote work, because of this whole COVID situation. *About*: I'm a huge GNU/Linux (will be referred as 'Linux' since) enthusiast since 2013, when I tried my first Linux distro (it was Arch, you can guess how smooth the process went for a newcomer), but I was such impressed with what you can do and how open and customizable this system actually is, I never went back to Win nor Mac. I also like to play games some times, like Batman or The Witcher series, so I'm really exited about Valve's effort to make gaming on Linux better thanks to Proton and their ACO compiler for AMD graphics. Fedora is my distro of choice since 2015, and this is (for me at least) by far the best Linux distribution. It's customizable, stable while having fresh enough packages, and in most cases, just works out of the box. *Me and Fedora Project*: I'm not very good at programming, so the best thing I could do is helping Fedora by translating everything I possibly could to my native. Have been working within the IT business since the mid nineties. Have tried both programming, system administration and management. I have a broad set of skills and I'm familiar with many programming languages, operating systems and application platforms. Though my area of expertise lies within PHP, Java, C#, Python, Javascript, HTML, SQL, XML, Json and ADA. I have several years of system administration experience from both Windows, Linux and Unix and I have written a lot of scripts both in Bash, Windows shell and Windows powershell. There are also several application platforms that I have worked with during the years such as SAP, SharePoint, Drupal, Apache, different flavors of SQL servers, MS Exchange, Citrix and so on. You and the Fedora Project: I joined the webteam approx. a year ago, but haven't contributed as much as I hoped for. But in order to get started I thought I'd join the translations team since I find it very pleasant to both write documentation and tranlating documentation. I'm thinking about brushing up on my Python and C++ skills to perhaps be able to contribute some more to other parts of the fedoraproject. So I had no option but to fully translate Cockpit into Hebrew. Our only challenge right now would be adjusting the interface to support RTL. How to add new projects?

Hi everybody, I'm interested to add more translations into Weblate, but I don't have rights in + Add button (right corner of Weblate website). For example, I would like translate Podman documentation and man-pages. Cheers!
