kernel with kexec_load interface

--- Comment #12 from Ben Cotton <bcotton(a)redhat.com> ---
In today's Prioritized Bugs meeting, we agreed to reject this as a Prioritized
Bug as a fix is already in the updates-testing repo and it does not seem to
affect a large number of Fedora Linux users.

Bug 2056303: After upgrade to F36 several packages fail to update due to
selinux-related errors
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2056303
--- Comment #30 from Kamil Páral <kparal(a)redhat.com> ---
While most of the packages mentioned here are in the default Workstation
installation of F35/F36, I wasn't able to replicate this issue just by
installing+upgrading. So there needs to some other trigger, than just having
those packages on the system.
I'm very concerned about how many people are affected by this issue. While our
release criteria allow us to block the release only on issues affecting a
default system install, I can at least propose this for a freeze exception, if
a fix is found. I'm also proposing this a Prioritized Bug, due to the impact
and numerous reports.
Zdenek, if this is not going to be fixed before F36 Final release, can you
please look at this Common Issue proposal [1], read the description and
especially the Workarounds section, and tell me whether the description is
correct or something needs to be changed? Or write the best workaround here
from scratch? We need to inform people what to do if they hit this situation.
Thanks!

Proposing as a prioritized bug. This has multiple consequences and it's very
visible to anyone using multiple monitors or docking stations. The screen
blanking case was also reported multiple times.

--- Comment #2 from Kamil Páral <kparal(a)redhat.com> ---
The issue is already fixed in
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/merge_requests/2245 . We just need
it updated in Fedora, ideally before F36 Final. Removing PrioritizedBug
nomination and instead proposing as a Freeze Exception.
@Florian, could you please include this patch in Fedora?

Proposing as a prioritized bug. While I don't think this can be a release
blocker, this is likely going to bite a lot of dual-monitor users. Especially
on laptops, it is common to configure your displays using the multimedia key,
e.g. to enable/disable the internal display when presenting, after docking,
etc.

In today's Prioritized Bugs meeting, we agreed to reject this as a prioritized
bug. Although we recognize it's undesirable behavior in some circumstances,
it's best left to upstream to decide if it's the behavior they want or if it
should be modified in some way. (see also comment 5)
