--- Comment #81 from Amazed fedora@oeconomist.com 2011-12-17 23:41:36 EST --- I am getting this message with FC 16 when attempting to up-date from kernel-3.1.5-2.fc16.i686 and kernel-PAE-3.1.5-2.fc16.i686 to kernel-3.1.5-6.fc16.i686 and kernel-PAE-3.1.5-6.fc16.i686. After install, the system crashes when it attempts to boot the new default (PAE-3.1.5-6).

Removing memtest86+ and deleting /boot/grub2/grub.cfg and /etc/grub.d/40_custom failed to prevent this problem when installation was again attempted.

Removing all kernels and reinstalling did not resolve the error.
