Greetings ,
Upon trying to download the files in order to be able to upgrade from F32 to F33 i get the following errors
Error: Problem 1: package openssh-ldap-8.3p1-3.fc32.x86_64 requires openssh = 8.3p1-3.fc32, but none of the providers can be installed - openssh-8.3p1-3.fc32.x86_64 does not belong to a distupgrade repository - problem with installed package openssh-ldap-8.3p1-3.fc32.x86_64 Problem 2: package tomahawk-0.8.4-23.fc31.x86_64 requires libboost_filesystem.so.1.69.0()(64bit), but none of the providers can be installed - boost-filesystem-1.69.0-18.fc32.x86_64 does not belong to a distupgrade repository - problem with installed package tomahawk-0.8.4-23.fc31.x86_64 (try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages)
The thing is that even if i try to use the --skip-broken option the download of the files will not begin either . Now apart from deleting the offending
packages , trying the upgrade and then reinstalling them is there anything else that i can try ???

openssh-ldap is not installed by default on Fedora 32, and isn't found at all in the Fedora 33 packaging. And it has been deprecated. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1871025
I don't know if there's some packaging bug that should fix this, so it can just be removed on upgrade. It shouldn't require skip-broken in my opinion.
Anyway, for a fix/workaround you can just remove it. Then proceed with the upgrade.
Problem 2: package tomahawk-0.8.4-23.fc31.x86_64 requires
Pretty sure this is orphaned. So you can just remove it. https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/...

Thanks for the pointer.
Sidenote on my Thunderbird at least the Fedora Users List appears as sender of my original post instead of myself ,
what have i done wrong . ( I will run the actual upgrade in the morning since it is bound to take a few hours , if there
is a problem i will report back ) . In the meantime , thanks again for your suggestions .

Thanks for the pointer . Well to be honest this Fedora 32 isn't
a clean Fedora 32 installation rather an upgrade from Fedora 31 .
So tomahawk and openssh-ldap might very well have survived the
upgrade ( tomahawk was actually a Fedora 31 package that
sticked around ) .
I don't know if there's some packaging bug that should fix this, so it can just be removed on upgrade. It shouldn't require skip-broken in my opinion.

Well i tried a dnf erase command and since it was the only program that popped up
to be erased , per your suggestion i erased it . The download phase of the upgrade just
finished smoothly , so everything is fine .
Thanks for your time and suggestions .

I see from later emails that you have resolved this, but in future, the better option is to use "--allowerasing". That will delete the problematic packages. Just always check the list of packages to be removed to make sure nothing went wrong.
