Have you tried adding the "EvTouch USB Graphics Tablet" input
device, along with the normal mouse?
I'm sorry, I mispoke. My problem is with VNC, not Spice, and the mouse.
Setting things to Spice fixes it but is suboptimal since I have no use
for audio support, etc.
