Hello,
I am a third year student currently pursuing Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, India. My department is Information Technology and I am interested in participating in this year's OPW.
While going through the project list i found "Fedora Infrastructure Data Visualization: *Datanommer" project *quite* *interesting. This is because I have done few projects on web development using *HTML5*, *CSS* and * JavaScript*. Also i was recently working on some projects that deal with data visualization and computation using* Python *due to which i have gained experience in database systems and various Python libraries like *NumPy &* *SciPy.*
This is my first time and I am very much passionate about learning new things and completing the project. Please provide me insights of how should i proceed with my application and initial contributions.
Thanking You.
Regards, Charul. :)
Hi Charul,
My apologies for the late reply, there was some trouble with this mailing list that I just figured out. :(
I see that you are interested in the Datanommer project. Unfortunately, that's a project from the last round of Fedora OPW - I was at the Grace Hopper conference when the OPW applications opened up, so you probably looked at the page before we had a chance to update it.
However, I think if you are interested in datanommer that the datagrepper/dataviewer project would be interesting for you too. You'll need to contact Ralph Bean to assign you a task for your application and for more information about the project. His contact info is on his github page here:
Hope this helps!
