ansible1.9 retirement

Greetings. When ansible 2.0 was released there were some changes in playbook handling made. For this reason, we created a backwards compatible package with ansible 1.9 to ease the transition for those that needed more time to adjust their playbooks. Late last year it looked like there would be a final release in the 1.9 series addressing some security issues. However, the most recent round of security issues found in 2.x are difficult to impossible to backport to 1.9 so there will not be a final 1.9 release. Since it has now been 1 year since ansible 2.0 was released, and since ansible 1.9 has known security vulnerabilities, backporting fixes is impossible, we will be retiring the ansible1.9 package from EPEL. All ansible 1.9 users are urged to update to 2.x as soon as possible. kevin

Major Mono update for EL6

Hello, following up on my email concerning Mono in Epel6: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/epel-devel@lists.fedoraprojec… I did not get any response. But given the little amount of work necessary, I thought I might still push Mono 4.2 to Epel6, eventually. Now I heard the Beta for RHEL 6.9 has started: https://www.redhat.com/archives/rhelv5-announce/2017-January/msg00000.html So I initiated the push of the Mono 4.2 packages and the only package depending on it (dbus-sharp) to epel-testing on EL6: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2017-8c6c7bf06e These updates will sit in epel-testing for a significant period of time to allow adequate notice and time for testing. I hope to push them to stable at around the time when RHEL 6.9 is released. Please do test thoroughly, give positive/negative karma, and open bug reports.
