I see two now: multicast apps and iperf. I think it would be nice to to have some class which will handle downloading and compilation for us in one place. This class should after that pass correct path to caller (test class) so the caller does not need to know anything about it. Binaries should be always placed in /tmp/

I think that this was solved by the recent changes in the way how controller and slaves treat test modules and test tools (ctl sends it over to slaves, which store it in the cache).
