#5: Controller/Slaves check sequence -------------------------+------------------------- Reporter: rpazdera | Owner: rpazdera@… Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: component1 | Version: Keywords: | Blocked By: Blocking: | -------------------------+------------------------- Common failure of LNST recipe setups is caused by NetworkManager or iptables enabled on slave machines. We could introduce some sort of checking mechanism that would emit warning in case someone's running lnst along with these applications.

Comment (by rpazdera):
I spotted a patch on the list that adds printing a warning if logging connection between the controller and the slaves cannot be established.
The name of the patch is:
[PATCH 2/2] Logs: warn user if slave can't connect to logging server [1]
Does it affect this ticket? Or it's something unrelated to this?

Yes, I didn't post anything here because I didn't know if I wouldn't be making changes to it... And I later did post a newer patch but by then I forgot to post a comment about it here. So now with a bit of a delay:

Ok, no problem :). I just wasn't sure if these two were related.
