I think that sentiment is well and good, but I also know that the
Malaysian team declined to bid for 2011 but would very much like to put
together a bid for 2012. In the interest of fairness, we'll be
opening up bids for FUDCon APAC 2012 just as soon as we announce the
winning bid for 2011, and shoot to have FUDCon APAC 2012 somewhere in
the June/July/August timeframe.

a little update in case you guys didnt read the fudcon-planning mailing list.
The recent FUDCon APAC bidding process was targeting November 2011 for
the event, of which is too early for our planning. Therefore the
Malaysian team withdraw from the bid and choose to wait for the next
one. The upcoming FUDCon APAC is currently being bid by the India and
China team, both of which are large teams on their own both in numbers
and also their technical capabilities.
For Malaysia side, we'll be sticking on FADs for now, to grow the
local community both in technical capabilities and also numbers so
that when we actually bid for FUDCon, we have a solid contributor base
who can actually participate in the FUDCon activities and not just
being an idle consumer.
the first proper FAD will be on September, exact date will be
confirmed soon. Please do participate :-)

However, seems like the bidding is for a FUDCon on November/December
this year. And we'll need to confirm the venue by 20th of June (and
give 3 days for polishing the proposal)
What say y'all? .. bid for this one? .. or wait for the next bidding ?
Oh btw .. i'm still waiting for ppl to argue on venue :P

I'm thinking of tearing down fedora.foss.org.my and replace it with
Plone4 .. and possibly repurpose it as a different type of site .. any
flamers, volunteers, or idea spammers , shout away ..
