I am hoping to get some insight from those who have tried to incorporate
Opus in their iOS apps.
We are currently testing Opus codec in both iPhone and Android phones.
We experienced no problem whatsoever with Galaxy S and Galaxy S2.
Audio quality is excellent with complexity of 10.
But on iPhone 4 and 4S, depending on the level of complexity 0 or 4 or higher.
With complexity of 1 or higher on iPhone 4, audio breaks up and microphone underflow
error occurs. With complexity of 4 or higher on iPhone 4S, audio breaks up as well and
the same problem occurs.
We are using 16Kbps, and both Android and iOS apps are configured with the same option
"--enable-fixed-point". But with or without the build option, the same problem happens on iOS.
Can anyone share their thoughts or insight?
