Next steps towards a module

The packages from the sway-sig copr seems to behave as expected thus far. What are the next steps on the route to modularity? Are there test cases from the regular sway packaging we can reuse? Is there any special hoops to jump through? Br Markus

I finally got around to getting things built for F30. I have installed sway on 1 F30 machine and it runs. No guarantees though :) Packages built are: mako 1.2-2.fc30 sway 1.0-3.fc30 swayidle 1.2-5.fc30 swaylock 1.3-1.fc30 wlroots 0.5.0-2.fc30 You'll find it at https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/qrsbrwn/sway/ I will get around to updating the description and such soon enough. I would like to stress that I got the things built but has done very close to no testing. BR Markus

Regarding rpms available for testing

Hi all I'm eager to start testing sway 1.0 (with as many of the supporting packages as possible) on f29 and f30. Does anyone have a copr repo (or similar) which is up to date? There's a bit of a jungle of different copr repos right now with a bunch being forked from eachother and few, if any, have any recent builds going. I could of course do some testing in rawhide but that limits my ability to do real life testing since I'm not eager to run rawhide as a daily driver. Do we (as in anyone here) have a clear view of what remains before testing on f29 and f30 can begin in a broader sense? Br Markus

sway-sig as co-maintainer for wlroots

I would like to join the Sway SIG

Hi, I am interested to join you all in the effort of providing a good experience to any Fedora user interested in using Sway. I have started to create a copr <https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/gumieri/sway/> myself with this intention. I am close to people that got really interested in sway by seeing my setup at work. So I am trying to make easy to them and others to adopt it. I've never built a package but I am loving to learn that. I can test daily and also help with the package configuration.
