x86 libs on x86_64 - when will they be gone?

Hi, I've noticed I have quite a few x86 libs from rawhide on my x86_64 boxes. I know they're there as not everything is 64 bit native yet (such as OOo), but is there a target date for a "pure" x86_64 based version? After todays updates, no text is displayed in KDE. You can see text while menus are redrawn, but they then disappear. Under GNOME, they mostly work. Some text needs to be moused over before it is displayed. I have no idea what broke this. Any help on how to figure out what is bad would be appreciated. Jim

Weird failure related to Nautilus

Hi All, Recently I've been noticing weird lock-ups of applications (usually starting with Nautilus) that eventually leaves the desktop unresponsive, along with no access to the virtual terminals (F1-F6). It seems to start at times when I'm doing a couple of large downloads or a large file transfer and then I use Nautilus for something. Nautilus will stop responding, then the panel icons stop working and slowly more and more applications start to join in (including not being able to launch new applications, even while the panel is still running). Has anyone else seen something like this. I'll happily (sic) file a bug report, but I wan't to be able to offer something better than the description above. Fedora 5 right now has binaries for /lib/libc.so.6 that give a two number version: 2.4 I have a software package with 38 configure scripts, all of which contain this stanza, and by Paul Bunyan's beard I swear, the perl one liner to edit all of them to change the version=... is defeating me... Lots of developers for lots of products expect three number versions for libc. Should Fedora perhaps return to that convention?
