I'm still trying my best to get a DWL-520 Rev D wireless adapter working on FC2 Test 3. I hav been trying to use the wlan-ng package and PRISM drivers with no real luck.
I really like usinf Fedora but this is really giving me a hrad time. It shouldn't be so difficult for anyone to configure a wireless adapter on any OS.
Trying to install the prism2_pci module I get the following:
modprobe prism2_pci WARNING: Error inserting p80211 (/lib/modules/2.6.5-1.327/linux-wlan-ng/p80211.ko): Invalid module format FATAL: Error inserting prism2_pci (/lib/modules/2.6.5-1.327/linux-wlan-ng/prism2_pci.ko): Invalid module format
dmesg output is: p80211: version magic '2.6.5-1.327custom 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.3' should be '2.6.5-1.327 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.3' prism2_pci: version magic '2.6.5-1.327custom 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.3' should be '2.6.5-1.327 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.3'
I'm not that up to speed with building kernels and or customizing kernels o its probably something related to that. If anyone can help me and I can get this to work I will be both truly grateful and amazed.
Thanks -Tim
