#54: F13 color management Test Day ----------------------+----------------------------------------------------- Reporter: adamwill | Owner: Type: task | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Fedora 13 Component: Test Day | Version: Keywords: | ----------------------+----------------------------------------------------- Let's have a Color Management test day for F13! Hughsie agrees it'd be a good idea.
Feature page: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/ColorManagement
todo: set up wiki page, flesh out test cases (some basic ones on the feature page). Pencilled in for Feb 18th.

I will be interested in participating in the test. I have necessary hardware and software I'm interested in testing.

Test cases are now mostly up. Richard, can you please check they're OK? I think especially the 'delete profile' one may be inaccurate, as the process just doesn't *work* for me so I can't describe exactly how it's supposed to :)
I will file bugs for the problems I've had trying to follow the test cases tomorrow.

I was very interested in this, but didn't participate because I don't (yet) have the hardware to create my own profiles. I didn't realise I could be of use as an ordinary user. :(
I do have profiles that I created ages ago using a borrowed Spyder II, so I have installed gnome-color-manager in F12. So far so good. It works well with regard to installing/associating/loading profiles, better than running dispwin every boot anyway.
As an aside, it is unfortunate that Firefox has regressed wrt colour management since they moved away from lcms. :(

What do they use now? Can you provide any further information on this? Perhaps some links? I couldn't find much googling, only some links about CVE regarding LCMS.

Ok, I found some details -- Firefox uses QCMS now and supports ICC profiles v2 only and not ICC v4.

You can still go through the tests and record what you did and report any bugs.
