What is the schedule for releasing an FC4 2.6.17 SMP kernel? I am only able to find the UP version from June 21 in testing and June 26 in updates.
Thanks.

x86_64 only, right? The i386 one appears to be there.
It's odd that it's not mentioned in the announcement. Wonder if this is intentional?
Hmmm. In 2.6.16-1.2115_FC4, the "buildsmp" flag in the spec file is on by default, but then turned off for noarch, i586, ppc64m, ppc64iseries, s390, s390x, sparc, and ia64.
In 2.6.17-1.2139_FC4, the flag is off by default, and then only turned on for i686, sparc64, and ppc. Probably x86_64 should have been included in that list but got left out by accident as the switch was made.
Possibly related to Dave Jones not getting a good night's sleep because his bed collapsed underneath him? :)

It wasn't. I screwed up. 2.6.17.2 is due out in a few days. I'll wait for that and kill two birds with one stone. (And also kill off any low-hanging fruit from bugzilla over the next few days)

Not just you -- it was that way in the test announcement, and someone out here should have caught this. Sorry.

as if by magic, it appeared today. I'll see if I can get it into updates-testing for tomorrow.

Got a patch for that one now, so that's a strong candidate yes.

Thanks, 'cause my wife is really really not happy about DOSBox not working. :)
