Hey all-
I'm trying to install Pagure locally to work on some bugs, but I'm having trouble with installing the requirements since I don't actually use Fedora as my OS (sorry! I use Elementary). I was able to get ansible and libvert installed through apt, and vagrant-hostmanager through instructions on their repo, but I can't install the other 2 vagrant- packages since I'm hitting a bug with Bundle apparently.
Here is the full list of what all I'm trying to install:
sudo dnf install ansible libvirt vagrant-libvirt vagrant-sshfs vagrant-hostmanager
There are no search results for any of the vagrant- ones in apt, so I've been trying to install them from their repos. Only vagrant-hostmanager was successful.
I tried installing vagrant-libvert from their github and that caused me to hit a different error:
Bundler, the underlying system Vagrant uses to install plugins, reported an error. The error is shown below. These errors are usually caused by misconfigured plugin installations or transient network issues. The error from Bundler is:
ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension.
Attempting the same for vagrant-sshf resulted in a similar error:
Bundler, the underlying system Vagrant uses to install plugins, reported an error. The error is shown below. These errors are usually caused by misconfigured plugin installations or transient network issues. The error from Bundler is:
Unable to resolve dependency: user requested 'vagrant-sshf (> 0)'
Does anyone either have advice on how to get through this Bundler error, or how to otherwise get these packages installed without access to DNF?
I tried asking on the Fedora IRC first, but no luck. Also- does anyone know how to get to the #pagure IRC? I read in the docs that there is one, but I can't seem to access it... (I use Matrix, but usually there is an automatic bridge to Freenode so I'm not sure why it's not showing up in the room directory).
Thank you to anyone who is willing to help! I apologize if this is not the appropriate channel to communicate these questions. Please point me in the right direction if so!

I just wonder, wouldn't be simpler to use docker-compose in this case (I had some hard times before with vagrant)?
See section Docker Compose in https://github.com/pypingou/pagure

Interesting, are you accessing that channel on Freenode? I do not see any issue

No problem. I think getting that IRC and get to #pagure would be best. Otherwise I believe the main developers @Pierre-Yves Chibon pingou@redhat.com and @Ryan Lerch rlerch@redhat.com could definitely help you get started (or know somebody who would :)

Thank you, Miroslav!
I managed to get it up and running in vagrant and I got into the Pagure chat (looks like no one on Matrix had tried to join yet and that's why it wasn't showing up in the Matrix directories - I had to put in the exact freenode/matrix bridge address).
I appreciate your help!
