Build failure on Ubuntu Vivid

All, I recently uploaded the current debian package profile for 0.92 to my Ubuntu PPA. The upload for wily (Ubuntu 15.10) built correctly and is now published. Thanks to Ryan Barry for doing the initial prototype, and Jaroslav Škarvada for fixing up tuned to include profile descriptions. It can now connect to local WebSockets on the system. But here's an example of what you can do with that: The demo below shows GTK+ 3 apps running inside of Cockpit. Any update on a bridge/agent for CentOS/RHEL 6.7 Server monitoring & support

Hello everyone Just wanted to see if anyone has made any lead way with supporting CentOS/RHEL 6.7 via a bridge / agent so these os releases can be brought into cockpit for resource / servcice monitoring I know about 8 or 9 months ago this was talked about but not sure if anyone has taken it upon themselves to come up with a solution yet or if there is one in the works. Let me know as we still have a few hundred 6.7 clients hosted in our cloud and it will take a very long time to safely migrate them if even possible to a 7.x release. Regards, Donald R. This week it was 0.92 SOSReport on Atomic ------------------- When run on Atomic, Cockpit's sosreport diagnostics will now invoke the sosreport tool in a privileged container via the 'atomic run' command. https://github.com/cockpit-project/cockpit/pull/3486 OAuth login support ------------------- Cockpit now has OAuth login support. It doesn't exactly work out of the box for logging into a local Linux system, but it can be used to create custom dashboards or containers based on Cockpit components that use OAuth to authenticate. This week it was 0.91 Testing on RHEL Atomic ---------------------- Marius did some work last week and got each and started testing each and every pull request on the latest RHEL Atomic. We'd been testing on Fedora Atomic previously, so this adds additional testing. https://github.com/cockpit-project/cockpit/pull/3445 Rebuilding from scratch ----------------------- Typically we ship some pre-minified javascript and CSS files in our source tarball to avoid having too many dependencies during the actual build. However some distros like Debian would like to build all the way from original source. This is so downstreams can run the same integration tests that we run during development upstream. Next ---- Peter has done work to provide OAuth authentication support for Cockpit. Obviously this doesn't work out of the box, and custom scripts need to be provided to handle taking the OAuth tokens and starting a relevant login session. One such use case is a Cockpit based UI (such as the Kubernetes dashbard) is running in a container pod on Openshift. cockpit integration tests for rawhide builds of kubernetes in Fedora

Hi, cockpit integration tests have proofed to be very useful for discovering regression and bugs for kubernetes. The current workflow of updating kubernetes is to rebase/rebuilt kubernetes, run very basic tests and hope it will work. The workflow did not show up to be much bulletproof. Would it be possible to run kubernetes related cockpit integration tests on each new build of kubernetes in rawhide? Once I tried to run the tests and ended up with downloading a lot of images each over 1GB. How hard it would be to write down a simple script that would expect kubernetes build and distribution? As a result, it would set everything up and run required tests (without user intervention). Or if possible to use your system (possibly Jenkins?) and periodically run integration tests (or with a suitable trigger). This is a starting discussion email. To discuss what would be the best and easiest solution for both sides. At the moment, kubernetes is built from openshift origin source codes. I would like to build new kube each day and run integration tests. That same way it was done before kubernetes started to break. Kind Regards Jan

openshift based kubernetes in f23 for testing

Hi, new kubernetes for f23 based on origin is built [1], [2]. It is a rebase from 1.0.3 to 1.2.0 with a lot of new features and bugfixes. At the same time possibly introducing regressions and new issues. Anyone who can help is welcomed to test and run integration tests. Cockpit integration tests were very helpful in discovering some of them lately. Lets discover as much issues as possible.
