I'd like to see the supported number of CPUs jump from 64 to 512 so that it would be possible to run Fedora Core 5 on large CPU systems.

you don't say which architecture this is for... I assume x86-64 since nobody in their right mind would put 512 cpus in an 32 bit x86 box ;)
