Hi,
I'm trying to setup an yum repo for AbiWord at savannah.gnu.org/download/yum
I know I have some directory structure tactical problems, but I'll solve them when I'm on a faster network, so let's not talk about them right now, since I'm running into some weird problem, I think totally unrelated to the dirs.
[root@roque root]# yum install abiword-plugins-impexp Gathering header information file(s) from server(s) Server: AbiWord cvsbuilds and releases for Fedora Core 1 - i386 Server: Fedora Core 1 - i386 - Base Server: Fedora Core 1 - i386 - Released Updates Finding updated packages Downloading needed headers Resolving dependencies .....identical dependency loop exceeded package abiword needs libwpd-1.so.2 (not provided)
Now, I have zero matches of libwpd-1.so.2 on the rpms I provide at savannah. Where's that comming from? Can someone help me?
Hugs, Rui

BTW, this is not true. abiword-VER does not depend on libwpd, abiword-plugins-tools-VER does not as well.
abiword-plugins-impexp does depend on libwpd, but not the version yum is complaining...
Rui
And when installed separately all three packages install without a problem...

Hi, I downloaded the abiword abiword-plugins-impexp from http://www.abisource.com/download/
I made a local yum repository w/just the two packages for abiword and included that yum repo in my yum.conf.
when I run yum install abiword-plugins-impexp after having removed abiword and libwpd.
yum finds both of those dependencies and installs them.
Are you sure fedora core repositories are working correctly? b/c libwpd should be findable w/o a problem.

Abiword HEAD requires a more recent libwpd, and I'm talking about _my_own_ repository, which I think might be screwed so I need help, and not of FC's repos.
Thanks anyway, Rui

out of curiosity. You're installing abiword-plugins-impexp
do you have abiword installed already?
do an rpm -q --requires abiword and tell me if you see a dependency on libwpd-1.so.2.
For the abiword shipped in fedora core 1, I see that dependency.
can you point me at these packages so I can see their dependencies, I think something is not right in one of the packages.

I usually package RPMS for AbiWord and place them on Savannah. Since many complained about the dependencies, et all, I intend to put up a um repository.
The first thing I do after a RedHat/Fedora Core installation in remove Abiword as distributed :)

Yup. But not on my rpms, that's what I find weird.

Sure: http://savannah.gnu.org/download/abiword/yum
