HTTP1.1 keep-alive persistent connections

Hi all, I am interested in getting keep-alive connections working with suds because it has large performance benefits for my application. I noticed that there was some discussion in October about persistent connections: https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-suds-list/2009-October/msg00038.html Rod -> you were going to follow up to the list about your results. Have you had any luck till now in getting that working? If you did, is it possible to share your solution? Best regards, Brodie

Hi, I'm porting a small web service app from ZSI to suds. I'm having trouble connecting to an https:// service URL via a proxy. If I use no proxy things seem ok; if I set up a proxy the connection appears to hang; an strace of the process suggests that the process connects to the proxy server and speaks raw SSL without the necessary: CONNECT real-host:443 HTTP/1.0 that is needed as a preamble to hop through the proxy. I'm using suds-0.3.8 and python-2.6.4; the former because it is current and the latter because it contains https-via-proxy support in urllib2. The setup code looks like this: client = Client(wsdlURL) if os.environ.get('WEBPROXY'): proxy = { 'http': os.environ['WEBPROXY'], 'https': os.environ['WEBPROXY'], } print "proxy =", `proxy` sys.stdout.flush() client.set_options(proxy = proxy) client.set_options(location = 'https://localhost/foo-service') where $WEBPROXY contains "localhost:3128", wsdlURL is a file:// URL to my test WSDL and https://localhost/foo-service is a dummy URL to test the service before harassing a real instance. I believe suds is not speaking to urllib2 correctly to activate the proxy tunnel. The pre-suds app was making direct urllib2 calls and set things up like this (yes, a different environment variable): proxy_support = urllib2.ProxyHandler({"http" : os.environ['http_proxy'], "https" : os.environ['http_proxy']}) opener = urllib2.build_opener(proxy_support) urllib2.install_opener(opener) and things quietly worked. That doesn't seem to have any effect if I get suds to make the calls. Can anyone suggest how I _should_ be setting this up for suds? suds sharepoint

I hope this is the right place to post this question. I recently installed the suds client and was able to successfully authenticate against sharepoint. I'm unable to perform the most basic query however. I tried searching the archives of this list and only saw dead-end threads about this. I have a sharepoint list accessible here: https://my.sharepoint.com/Lists/Products/AllItems.aspx I try to use this code: sClient.service.GetList(listName='Products') Which produces: <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:ns0="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <SOAP-ENV:Header/> <SOAP-ENV:Body> <ns0:GetList> <ns0:listName>Products</ns0:listName> </ns0:GetList> </SOAP-ENV:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> I always receive the error: 'NoneType' object is not callable Has anyone had any luck retrieving data from sharepoint using this library? Would someone be kind enough to point out where I've gone wrong? Thanks

Pickling Results..

I'm new to suds, and to pickle.. but I'm having a problem that I'm not sure how to resolve... I've called my webservice, and received some results. All of that worked swimmingly. When I try to pickle the results to a file, though.. I fail on the suds.sax.text.Text class with the following error: TypeError: a class that defines __slots__ without defining __getstate__ cannot be pickled I noticed that the Text class has a special Pickler class in it. Is there a nice way to hook that up to my pickling operation? I couldn't find any docs suggesting how to go about doing that. Thanks in advance for the help, Phill

Hey Guys Does Suds Client support path to Local system files for the WSDL? I've been trying Client("xxxx.wsdl") but it doesn't seem to work. I also tried the full path, but no luck. Any ideas? -- Ivanir João Kreuzberg
