Without rhgb but with quiet the messages are:

This will take ages though.
Hardware is an Asus Eee PC 4G with rawhide

as was

also 287 has exactly same problem.....that means that nobody read this thread :-( and I spent some time to install and de-install the kernel.
It happens at some point or another. I installed the 284 kernel and it worked for me. However I even installed the 290 kernel and it worked! Things like this happen to us at one point or another. I have also needed to remove several kernels that were not working for me :)
BTW, thank you for bringing up the printing problem. I am having problems printing as well. We are here and we do read the thread(s). Sorry I could not have provided advice since those kernels booted for me :(

also 287 has exactly same problem.....that means that nobody read this thread :-( and I spent some time to install and de-install the kernel.
Sorry I could not have provided advice since those kernels booted for me :(

even kernel-2.6.27-0.290.rc5.fc10.i686 is not booting off my USB HD drive, with same problems of other two kernels. Latest kernel booting off an USB HD drive is kernel-2.6.27-0.244.rc2.git1.fc10.i686.

also 287 has exactly same problem.....that means that nobody read this thread :-( and I spent some time to install and de-install the kernel.
It happens at some point or another. I installed the 284 kernel and it
worked for me. However I even installed the 290 kernel and it worked! Things like this happen to us at one point or another. I have also needed to remove several kernels that were not working for me :)
BTW, thank you for bringing up the printing problem. I am having
problems printing as well. We are here and we do read the thread(s). Sorry I could not have provided advice since those kernels booted for me :(

even kernel-2.6.27-0.290.rc5.fc10.i686 is not booting off my USB HD drive, with same problems of other two kernels. Latest kernel booting off an USB HD drive is kernel-2.6.27-0.244.rc2.git1.fc10.i686.
