ntfs-3g fuse driver is in Extras and supports writing. I expect with fc7 this becomes a moot point, because of the Core/Extras merger.
There are some people (like me) that simply prefer the in-kernel ntfs driver. So IMHO let's simply ship both.
Oh, I have nothing against that. I don't know how feasible it is, but perhaps ntfs-3g could be integrated into kernel someday.
