rpms not in repodata

Wanted to double check that this is expected: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/5/SRPMS/repodata/primary.xml.gz only lists the 2 most recent nagios-plugins releases while on disk we have nagios-plugins-1.4.11-2.el5.src.rpm nagios-plugins-1.4.13-4.el5.src.rpm nagios-plugins-1.4.6-3.el5.src.rpm Goes against what I've typically seen of repodata reflecting the contents of all rpms in the folder. In fact we have a script written on this assumption, is it incorrect? Thanks for all the hard work, EPEL is very handy :) -- Matthew Kent \ SA \ bravenet.com

page renaming ideas

Based on a search for all page names with 'EPEL' in them[1], I got 91 pages. 50 of those pages are of the format 'EPEL/Report' and can be moved to the Meetings: namespace. Below I picked out some samples and show what they can be named using natural language. This improves search, translation, and readability for the user. EPEL/GuidelinesAndPolicies/PackageMaintenanceAndUpdates => Package_maintenance_guidelines_for_EPEL EPEL/Reports/Week44 => Meeting:EPEL_summary_YYYYMMDD EPEL/ContributorStatus => Status_of_EPEL_contributors EPEL/GuidelinesAndPolicies => EPEL_guidelines_and_policies EPEL/Schedule => EPEL_schedule EPEL/FAQ => Frequently_asked_questions_about_EPEL ... or ... => FAQ_about_EPEL EPEL/Tasks/KojiAndBodhiForEpel => Koji_and_bodhi_for_EPEL EPEL/PackageMaintainer/GenericJobDescription => Generic_job_description_for_package_maintainers EPEL/Tasks => EPEL_tasks EPEL/WishList => Package_wish_list_for_EPEL In some cases, it is just putting spaces in to an already named page. In all cases, these should go in to the [[Category:EPEL]], and some in other categories, e.g. [[Category:EPEL_tasks]]. If you are on fedora-wiki-list, you'll see that the group is discussing working with individual projects to check-in a CSV file with OldName| New_name. is there a difference between EPEL SIG and EPEL contributors?

Hello, Such a difference is made in the text 'Communicate with the EPEL SIG or other EPEL contributors '. I think that this is an unneeded distinction. In my opinion everybody contributing to EPEL (packages, infra...) is in the EPEL SIG. Is it agreed? -- Pat

remove historical EPEL information?

Hello, As part of th ewiki cleanup, some 'historical' pages will disappear, like https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/SIG or https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras/Schedule/EnterpriseExtras Is keeping this information in an historical section worth it? It would mean adding a page that references all the pages that are going to be removed such that interested people can save the information on the page before old pages are removed. -- Pat

What to do about that? Blacklist koffice(-lib/devel) to not multilib? Or, just inhibit the generation of the -devel subpkg on EL-5 would do the same I guess. -- Rex
