Hi, A while ago, there was some discussion about epel8-playground using RHEL8.x-beta, or CentOS-Stream, as the buildroot. What was the outcome of that discussion? I know I had some concerns about not knowing which date of CentOS-Stream a package was built off. And that still is a concern I have.
But, now I have a real world problem. With the release of RHEL8.2 Beta, I have learned that some of my epel8 packages will not install on RHEL 8.2 without a rebuild. But if I do rebuild them, then they won't run on RHEL 8.0 or 8.1.
I'm sure we won't have anything in place before RHEL 8.2 is released, but I was wondering how that discussion ended, and if, in the future, we will have epel8-playground use CentOS-Stream.

I don't think there was a clear consensus...

I think we may be need more data? Like someone writing up all the pros and cons? I think it might be nice to use stream, but not sure if there's workflows that would break.
