Hi,
it's my first time doing this. So please be patient.
I have built Darktable 2.0.1 for RHEL/CentOS 7. The repo can be found here: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/ploeffler/darktable2/
The spec-file is very simple but it should do the job. I included some rpms from fedora and nux-desktop to get it running.
For now everything is installed to /opt/darktable which is the default. Not shure if this is ok.
I would be happy if someone could test it and give me feedback.
Thanks, Peter

Darktable is already available in EPEL: http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/SRPMS/d/darktable-1.6.9-6.el7.src.rpm

Fedora Rawhide has 2.0, so that would probably be a better place to start from: http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/development/rawhide/source/SRPM...

It's ok for a personal/COPR repo, but not for general use in EPEL/Fedora. Using one of the above SRPMs would probably be the better place to start because they'll meet (or at least should meet) the packaging guidelines.
Hi, I am the darktable co-maintainer for Fedora I tried to test darktable 2.0.x on EPEL7, but the build will fail due an old version of pugixml
https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/germano/Darktable_2.0_releas...
Hi,
That's why i put a newer version of pugixml in my repo. I'm new to this whole building stuff. so i hope that would be a way to go for epel.
See https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/ploeffler/darktable2/builds/ for the list of other packages i used. Now only lua has a lower version number than required. this is why it will be disabled:
-- checking for one of the modules 'lua52;lua5.2;lua-5.2;lua' -- Lua support: System library for lua 5.2 not found (to use darktable's version use -DDONT_USE_INTERNAL_LUA=Off)
Do you know why on Sep 08 2015 the decition was made to build without libgnome-keyring?
Regards, Peter

I am in constant contact with upstream developers and almost every change has been made with their supervision
