Hi epel team,
I just wanted to let you know that there have been already two updates of mock not yet pushed to epel7+ stable (2.0 and 2.1). I did not push it because I wanted to wait for karma, but the update is pretty important now.
I just wanted to let you know that I'll wrap another bugfix release 2.2 this week .. and I plan to enable the time-based autopush, or eventually push it once it reaches the 14 days in testing.
Please test and leave karma if you have spare time and if you care about mock on EPEL. Or stop me, or just give a feedback here.
Thank you! Pavel
Could you give the bodhi links to these two package updates. I must have missed the previous announcement about their update. Going for mock-1.* to mock-2.* has had a few bumps, so I'd like to make sure my environments don't break, or break too much.

Sure, sorry for not posting it before: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/?packages=mock https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2020-5a84e15907 https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2020-88ef4b4d66
I'm going to "obsolete" those two by new update of 'v2.2' later this week.

Of course you can try pre-release mock/mock-core-configs RPMs from: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/mock/mock/
There are only few missing PRs that are now under review, and will be very likely merged:
https://github.com/rpm-software-management/mock/pull/535 https://github.com/rpm-software-management/mock/pull/550 https://github.com/rpm-software-management/mock/pull/551

Hello maintainers,
I'm pleased to announce that a new bugfix release v2.2 of mock tool, A 'simple' chroot build environment manager for building RPMs, is out.
There are few important fixes and changes that I'll mention here directly.
- The /etc/mock/site-defaults.cfg file was moved from mock to mock-core-configs.
- Mock got several bug-fixes/features to work in the Fedora Toolbox environment (rootless container) _by default_, now you can for example just:
$ toolbox enter $> sudo dnf install -y mock $> mock -r epel-7-x86_64 --chain \ https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/mock-core-configs/32.6/1.fc33/s... \ https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//packages/mock/2.2/1.fc33/src/mock-2.2-1....
- Mock got also few fixes to make it work in privileged podman/docker container.
- Some fixes were applied to fix builds on targets that have incompatible RPMDB backend (will be needed once we have SQLite RPMDB backend in Rawhide).
See the upstream release notes for full change set:

I enabled time-based and karma-based auto-push this time, the fixes are pretty important, especially for EL7/EL8. So please don't wait with the testing too much if you can. Thanks you for any feedback.
