I don't think gdb-heap is not totally compatible with glibc 2.26 anymore due to the malloc thread cache.

I've been trying to get people to port all of gdb-heap into glibc so that we don't have to do this version bump, but as it turns out it is much harder to get others to do things than to do them myself. I don't have the bandwidth to actually fix this right now, but I'll keep this in mind as something to do if Dave doesn't get to it before I have some time for it.
