Hello Everyone,
Fedora Diversity team is planning to celebrate Fedora Women Day, 2017
[1] across the globe.
It will be great if we can plan multiple events in India too at
different cities with the help of active ambassadors.
Here is more information [2].
Please respond if you are willing to help organize the event in your
city. Here is a template wiki page to do the event in your city [3].
NOTE - It will be nice to do the event in month of September, but if
there are some unavoidable situations, one can plan it do early or later
as well.
Thanks,
Amita

Hi,
It has been a while since I've chanced across reports of Fedora events
being organized. Are these happening? Can we have some of the links of
available reports being posted back to this list?

Hi folks,
Registrations for PyCon India 2017 are now open here [1].
There are a limited number of tickets available due to space constraints.
These tickets are for the main Conference on 4th and 5th Nov 2017.
For Dev-Sprints on 2nd and 3rd Nov 2017, one should have any one of
the conference or workshop tickets.
There is limited space at the venue on Dev-Sprint days and entry would
be strictly on first-come first serve basis.
Tickets for workshops on 2nd and 3rd Nov are separate and would be
available once the final schedule is announced
Hurry tickets are limited in number grab one before they get over.
In case you have any queries, please reply to this email.

See you there at the Conference!

Team PyCon India 2017

Hi all,
I filed a budget ticket about 4 days back[1] for Fedora 26 release party in
Coimbatore, TN. After filing the ticket, I was asked to get +1 of other
ambassadors to get the ticket approved. apac-ambassadors issue tracker only
has around 6 subscribers at the moment, and I cannot find any SOP that
requests for +1s from other ambassadors for a release party to happen. Can
someone point me to the wiki which defines this? Also, I don't understand
why an ambassador will be -1 to any other ambassador conducting a release
party.
Is there a better way to get this approved?

Hi,
The July edition of the kernel meetup is on 16th of this month at
11:00 AM. I will be talking about the implementation details of the
malloc suite of functions in glibc. Pankaj Gupta will give an
overview of the various locking mechanisms in the kernel.
