Hello,
matplotilb has tagged version 1.5.0. Is there anything we can do to expedite getting it into the fedora build system?
This version has a new required dependency, cycler, which is available on pypi and https://github.com/matplotlib/cycler .

Well, in that case the first step would seem to be submitting a cycler package review.
Orion,
What needs to be done to submit a package review for cycler?

I am a packager already and would be willing to do this, if the current matplotlib maintainer does not wish to.

The current matplotlib maintainer is happily accepting co-maintainers :) So feel free to submit a review request for cycler or even better help Thomas to create one to become the maintainer of his own (upstream) package.
Best, Thomas

This is so simple, let's get this done quickly.
1. Please change Source to https://github.com/matplotlib/%%7Bsrcname%7D/archive/v%%7Bversion%7D.tar.gz#...
The archive on pypi is missing license. It seems more reasonable to use github directly than to fight around that.
2. I think the summary should be something less cute. "Composable style cycles" only works if you already know what the package does.
(I think that this package shows the power of the new Python macros from bkabrda and others... The spec file is very readable and maintainable.)
If you submit a Review Request, I promise to hit the fedora-review+ button promptly.

Both of those issues should be addressed upstream as well. We need to do new release soon anyway.
