Esto es una traducción del mensaje de Jiri que esta abajo.
Hola,
Estamos algunas semanas de la liberación del tan esperado Fedora 18 y
solo tenemos registrados
fiestas de liberación (Release Parties);
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F18_release_events
Hi,
we're just a few weeks away from the release of long awaited Fedora 18
and we have just a few registered release parties:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F18_release_events
APAC has done a good job, but EMEA has only one release party currently,
and LATAM and NA not a single one.
Fedora 18 is going to be a great release and release parties are a great
opportunity to show the release to users. They're really important from
from the marketing perspective and are usually a lot of fun, too.
That's why FAmSCo would like to encourage you to organize one in your
city, university,... Fedora Project can help you cover costs related to
release party organizing and don't forget that FAmSCo has announced a
contest in which organizers of the best release party in each region
will be given $80 to have a nice dinner.

My fellow ambassadors,
I have been serving as FAmSCo chair for a year now and it's time for me
to pass the torch (the buck?) to somebody else.
I am happy to announce that in today's FAmSCo meeting Jiri Eischmann [1]
was elected. I think he really deserves it because he was very active
and effectively ran FAmSCo while I was busy with my dayjob.
As FAmSCo chair, Jiri was to appoint the vice chair and I am glad he
picked Clint Savage [2]. This means we now have two of the most active
members of the two biggest communities leading FAmSCo and I am looking
forward to work with them.
Kind regards,
Christoph

Hi there,
just in case you missed the results of the FAmSCo election [1], I'd like
to announce that
* Truong Anh Tuan [2] has been elected as new FAmSCo member,
* Alejandro Perez [3] has been re-elected and that
* Buddhika Chandradeepa Kurera [4] has been re-elected, too.
All of them will serve 2 cycles, that means (roughly) 1 year.
I'd like to take the opportunity to thank Daniel Bruno for serving in
FAmSCo in the last 6 months.
Last but not least I'd like to thank Elad Alfassa [5] for running as a
candidate. Elad, it was darn close and it's a pity you did not make it.
I would have liked to have you in the team, so please run again next
time. IIRC Tuan didn't make it last time either, so it seems it always
takes two attempts.
I am looking forward to work with all of you.
Kind regards,
Christoph

Hi,
We successfully conducted our FAD in the Philippines last December 1, 2012:
http://bluepoint.com.ph/index.php?entry=20121201222105&show=album
There were last-minute changes to the original program, mostly enrichment to content and activities, which we will reflect on the wiki as soon as possible. Many thanks to Arnold Laurinaria, Dona Marie Grace, Emmanuel Tomasa, Engels Antonio, Herson Pagcaliwagan, Zaldy Retazo and Fedora PH for making this event possible.
Regards,
Magie
