Hiya folks!
Even though the conference is over, there's still work to be done :)
I've already announced a wiki page[1] that lists all
presentations/posts/photos/videos related to FUDCon KL. Please add your
entries there. There were quite a few of us there, and the wiki page
doesn't reflect that in magnitude yet :P
Please upload your presentations to archive.org as well and add the link
on the wiki page. Do remember to tag all your work with
'fudconkl2012' (photos, presentations, vidoes, blogs). That will make it
easy to find.

As you have (hopefully) heard by now, elections for the Fedora Board,
FESCo, and FAmSCo are quickly approaching.
In each election cycle, a series of town hall meetings is held to give
community members and opportunity to ask candidates questions - and hear
their answers - via IRC.
The town hall schedule for the upcoming election is as follows:
Fedora Project Board:
* Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 17:00 UTC
* Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 20:00 UTC
FESCo (Fedora Engineering Steering Committee):
* Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 17:00 UTC
* Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 20:00 UTC
FAmSCo (Fedora Ambassadors Steering Committee):
* Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 16:00 UTC
* Monday, May 28 at 17:00 UTC
Not sure what time that is? Use a handy-dandy time zone calculator to
find out when to show up:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html
Important information about how you can participate in the town halls
via IRC, as well as the details of each town hall meeting, can be seen
on the wiki here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Elections#IRC_Town_Halls
Additional details about the upcoming elections, including who the
candidates are and the schedule for elections, can be seen here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Elections
IRC town halls are a great and interesting way to get to know the
candidates for the various bodies. I encourage you to come and
participate, and bring your questions!
Cheers,
-Robyn

Hi,
I am very happy to share the news of establishment - "Fedora Chinese
Community" on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/fedora.chinese/
Created by our Fedora Ambassador from Taiwan: Cheng-Chia.
This group is the first and will be the main contact platform on facebook
for Fedora users who uses Chinese language. Feel free to join even you are
not Chinese spoken and communicate in English. For the posts that you
cannot read you please use translation web services. :)
There are many other platforms for Fedora/Linux/OSS communities in greater
China area, but facebook should provide a positive effect to the growth of
fedora popularity in such area.

kaio
Hi everyone,
Has anyone seen this: http://live.leapmotion.com/about/
I hope someone in fedora-devel is peeking and poking into that SDK. I
don't like it when M$ gets an implementation before the open-source
community.
Sorry if this is off-scope (we're ambassadors, I know). Just felt we
have enough guys spanning groups of all kinds. This is a worthy
research area.
Too bad I didn't do Computer Science. :(

Onyeibo
Hello,
I've finished the Beefy Miracle button per the feedback recieved
during last week's FamNA meeting.
The graphic is attached to the following ticket:
https://fedorahosted.org/famna/ticket/32
I've provided a true too size graphic, and a scaled up graphic
(labeled scaled :)) so you don't have to squint.
In summary, I made the following modifications:
Made text more defined by eliminating the script style and replacing
it with a (heavily) modied HvD comic serif font per gnokii's
recommendation. I also outlined the text in black to match the relish.
Moved the words closer together.
Removed the glow behind the hot dog.
Added more bits of relish in the 'air'.
Put a shadow on the relish in the background/beneath hotdog.
Added a slight highlight to the perimeter of the core (yellow) Beefy
Miracle text.
Feedback was split about 50/50 regarding which background color was
prefered. In this case, I chose a white background. If we end up doing
another order of the buttons later in the year, maybe we'll change it
to green.
If it causes you to have seizures or I've misspelled any word, please
let me know. Otherwise, I will be ordering the buttons tomorrow.
Next question: When I order the buttons, should I ship them to me or
to a RedHat office? I have no problem repackaging and shipping the
buttons to event box masters or other swag distributors. I'm also
happy to meetup and do a hand off with anyone in the Baltimore or
Washington DC area who is going to SELF. However, if you live in NoVA
I require beer, cake, and probably a promise to forever refer to me as
the Queen of the Universe in order to get me to swing around the
northwest-west side of the beltway.
Cheers,
Sarah White
