Hi everyone, would anyone be willing to represent Fedora Project and have a Fedora booth at LinuxCon Europe 2012 in Barcelona [1] (the event is held from Nov 5th to 7th)? This goes especially to Spanish ambassadors since the event will be in Spain.
The Linux Foundation will give us a free spot for our booth and free passes for people who will staff the booth. LinuxCon is one of the most important Linux events in Europe and I think Fedora should be there. I and Jaroslav Reznik represented Fedora at the last LinuxCon Europe in Prague and our booth was a success. Unfortunately, we were having problems to get a travel budget for the event this year, so we'd be glad if someone else could take it over.

I am 75% certain I will be attending and would be proud to represent Fedora. My Spanish is decent but I believe that all the talks and most of the discussions are in English so I should not have to embarrass myself or hurt anyone's ears with my poor Spanish.
Best, LH

Great! Would you be willing to become an event owner? We already have a few volunteers who'd certainly help you, but no one wants to organize it (decorations, swag, free passes for booth staff,...).

I would be happy to take this on with two caveats:
1) I need to confirm with my manager that I will be able to attend. He is on vacation right now so I will not have an answer to this for another week or so.
2) I am a new ambassador and have not gone through this process before, so folks will need to be patient with me.
Cheers, LH

Hi all.
Unfortunately I have to inform all you that I can NOT join the conference.
Sad but something else came out just for those days!

Jiri,
I could support representing to Fedora Project! I work for Red Hat GPS and I'm Fedora Ambassador too. I speak spanish (native), english and portuñol too, and could give a technical conference about Fedora HA, Cloud solutions as OpenShift and OpenStack, among other things. I think would be very interesting show that the Fedora Project have to ability to give lectures in another languages, as spanish.
Is posible what Fedora Project could help me with (at least) the trip? Thanks a lot.

Antonio, I'm CC'ing Alvaro and Leslie. One of them will probably be in charge of the booth. I'm not involved any more because I'm not coming.
Please note that CfP for LinuxCon Europe is already closed, so all that is needed now is help at the booth.
Fedora Project can help you, but I advised Alvaro and Leslie to contact other people interested in helping and make a budget for the whole event that will be proposed to FAmSCo.

Perfect! Well, I can help in all, participant, booth, even as translator! Count on me.
Thanks a lot.
