Hello ambassadors,
Even this year we, The Fedora Diversity and Inclusion team, are organizing Fedora Women's Day events around the world in September to bring more visibility to diverse communities empowering open source projects - including Fedora. We have started to accept proposals for Fedora Women's Days events and we would love to organize FWD across different locations around the world.
We are looking to collaborate with members of different open source communities including Fedora, women in tech groups or hackerspaces to organize Fedora Women’s Day!
Here is more information on Fedora Women's Day, how it can benefit individuals and communities and how you can organize one: https://u4999934.ct.sendgrid.net/wf/click?upn=PEGtk34F2vzY-2FdDEgdADya7DJdoF...
*Important dates* Submission deadline: Thursday, 16 August 2018 Acceptance deadline: Friday, 24 August 2018 (this is the latest date you hear from the D&I Team if your proposal is accepted) Suggested FWD dates: 22-23 September 2018
Please let us know how we can help or support.
Cheers, Jona

Dear Jona,
I would love to hold a Women's activity at the Ohio LinuxFest, October 13. Sorry I am way too late to submit a proper proposal. Can we please have a conversation about what is possible at this time?
Thanks,

You can still organize a FWD at the Ohio LinuxFest (that would be awesome :D), but it is late to request budget.
Please let us know how can we help you - for example we have the resource pack that includes information on Fedora editions / objectives and more.

Thanks Bex!
I have updated the ticket #199 to ask again if the event box was to be shipped. I think that people thought that it was a good idea but no final decision was made. On Sat, Oct 6, 2018 at 9:31 AM Brian (bex) Exelbierd bexelbie@redhat.com wrote:

Thanks so much for any support that you can send.
I was also hoping for the event box with a return shipping label if possible.
This is from the NA Ambassadors and is not something I can directly help you with. You'll need to open a ticket in their Pagure instance and ask them. https://pagure.io/ambassadors-na/requests/issues
Please send what you can to :
Ohio LinuxFest Corporation RE: Fedora Project 1601 West Fifth Avenue Ste 600 Columbus, Ohio 43212
I need someone from Diversity to approve before I can ship. They are usually proactive on email so I hope to hear by Monday.

Dear Jona,
I would love to hold a Women's activity at the Ohio LinuxFest, October 13. Sorry I am way too late to submit a proper proposal. Can we please have a conversation about what is possible at this time?
You can still organize a FWD at the Ohio LinuxFest (that would be awesome :D), but it is late to request budget.
Since this is in the US I can probably get stickers there in time if I get all shipping details and approval on Monday.
Regards,
bex
Please let us know how can we help you - for example we have the resource pack that includes information on Fedora editions / objectives and more.
Thanks, Jona
Thanks,
Beth Lynn Eicher
PS: I have an open ticket about a connected question https://pagure.io/ambassadors-na/tasks/issue/199

Hello Dominik,
Sorry about it, I didn't know that I had my sendgrid link tracking enabled by default. Thanks for letting me know, will disable it.
Here is the right link: https://communityblog.fedoraproject.org/fedora-womens-day-2018-proposals/

Sounds great!

Can you post a non-obfuscated link? I don't trust sendgrid. I have received nothing but spam from them.

The best way to get something reviewed is by filing a new ticket requesting a specific quantity in our Pagure repo:
https://pagure.io/fedora-diversity
However, I am (personally) +1 to getting this shipped without jumping through hoops, since the event is next weekend. I don't want to create perceived blockers. :)
I am +1 to shipping swag too :)
Beth, please don't forget to take some pictures and write an event report after the FWD. We are excited to know how it goes because there has been no FWD event at a conference before. If you want, you can choose to write it on the community blog too.
Best, Bee
