This is a 'woman' only event? I think that this violates our core values of "Friends" because this makes the event an exclusive one. We are supposed to be an inclusive community. And why isn't this event gratis? Who gets the money, where does the money go to, etc.
I don't think this is very 'Fedora'. It is ok to run this event, but having it under Fedora? Don't think its a go.
Just my 2cents.

The rationale for women's only spaces was discussed in Fedora Women and Diversity lists.

I don't see any core values violated. All events are bound to address a subset of the population in one way or the other.
And we are not independent of objective conditions and discrimination.

Understood. I see that there's already a discussion that happened.
It's fantastic that you're also helping to onboard new contributors. I've sent an email to the social-media list to ask them for a shoutout for your event. I've also did a shoutout on my social media account. You might wanna also do a blog post on Fedora community blog [1] before or after the event to publicize it further.
Let us know if there's anything else you would need help with.
Thanks for planning and spearheading diversity!
