Are there any ambassadors in the Dallas vicinity who would be interested in participating in this event?
Please cc Steve on replies since he isn't a list member.
Thanks, John

Hi,
I'm part of the group organizing the Software Freedom Day event in Dallas, TX. We'd like to get Fedora CDs and any other swag that's available to hand out at our event. If a Fedora Ambassador is available locally who can participate in some way that would be great too.
We have a Wiki page set up with more information on our local SFD event:

Any CD or other materials can be sent via postal mail to this address:

I am in Austin, but whatever is required to fill the freedom day with Fedora, I am ready to do.

I'm currently located in Huntsville, TX but have friends and family in the Dallas area and would be happy to attend pending the date doesn't conflict with previous engagements. Where might I find details on the event?

Where do we stand on this now. The clock is ticking but we have a few people who have stepped up to offer to help. The event should be added to
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedoraEvents
and once there we can arrange further details and some swag to be sent.

I checked the wiki and nobody owns it as of yet. I will go ahead and take ownership. I will coordinate with Steve.

Perfect, thanks Dave. You'll want to get a swag request in pretty soon since the event is approaching fast.

Seems to be a great geek weekend down i-35 in Texas!
Austin has the Lonestar Ruby Conference, Waco has the PyCon, and Arlington (Dallas) has the Geeknic!
I'll be at the Python Convention in Waco with Fedora goodies.
