I got pinged indirectly by HackIllinois which organizes a contribution-style hackfest.

Is this something we as Fedora would want to sponsor and send mentors to to advance Fedora projects?
regards,

I'm interested but will not have the bandwidth to own this event. If someone else owns it, I am interested in helping.
This seems like an awesome fit for our audience and mission. I've never seen a US hackathon as focused on open source like this one.

I see no objections for why not – if you are able to lead planning, I'm happy to support this!
