Hi everybody,
The 25th November, in Sophia-Antipolis (France, close to Nice), Nicolas Chauvet and me went to JM2L event (https://jm2l.linux-azur.org/). It is a popular local event, which happens every two years now. Usually, around 150-300 people come there during a day to visit stand, to follow conferences or workshops. We represented Fedora over Borsallinux-fr (French association) stand.
Around 15 people come to ask some information or just discuss about Fedora. Some of them are long term users, for many years and very happy about Fedora. My conference about contributions of Fedora Workstation to Free Software was followed by 15 people and very appreciated. I will publish an article to sum up the conference topic (in French) on some related websites.
The media coverage was pretty good. France 3 Côte d'Azur (a local TV channel) interviewed me about business model of Free Software and it is available on their website: https://france3-regions.francetvinfo.fr/provence-alpes-cote-d-azur/emissions... (25/11/17 edition). I am not a Red Hat employee, it is an error from journalist. Similar coverage on local press (Nice Matin, no copy available).
We fill a page on the wiki about this event: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Journ%C3%A9es_M%C3%A9diterran%C3%A9ennes_du_L...
If you have any question about it, do not hesitate.
Regards,
Charles-Antoine Couret

I couldn't understand the website since it was in French, but from your description, it sounds exciting! Do you either you or Nicolas have any pictures to share? I'd like to see what the event and booth were like.

What kind of things did people ask about? Were the questions technical or about the community? I was curious about this.

Congratulations on the television interview!! Which part of the segment were you interviewed? I was trying to find where your interview was to watch it, but I couldn't find it in the full video.

Thanks again for sharing your report with the community!
