Hi all,
based on a discussion in another thread, I've put together a skeleton DRAFT of our new release artwork process [1] so that we have something to work with. I was pretty brief with the wording, so it will probably need an expansion. Feel free to add your comments/edits/... :-)
The ultimate goal is to get it finished and officially accepted sometime around FUDCon so that we can start on next release using this new process.
I think it would also be useful to also keep release specific sub-pages with exact dates and perhaps a task list (can be a reference to a milestone in our ticket system) included.
Martin

I see you consciously changed "general audience" to "men audience", I think is better with "general". Why? because it is not really targeted at men, just at our general audience (which happens to be > 90% men, but this just happen to be that way)

Er... that was rather subconscious... Some thought shortcut: "women and children are covered, what remains are men". Feel free to correct it back to the "general audience".

Changed. When we label it as "for men", there is an unwanted connotation like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_men%27s_magazines
I would include links to previous release years work, not so much for ideas but for examples of shape/size. I would also add any specifications needed such as: 'A banner must be n X n pixels in dimension, or a fixed ratio of that'. This way when designing, noobs like me can know roughly where to start.

We have a page with specifications but it is old and in certain places obsoleted: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Artwork/ThemingOverview
There is also a list of graphics created for F11, which is I believe pretty accurate: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Artwork/F11/RC
Hi,
I've updated the Release artwork process page [1] in accordance with the fedora design team schedule for F12 [2]. Feedback welcome. If there are no concerns with the page, I'll undraft it later this week.
It would be probably nice to fill in the tasks into our trac instance [3] (under 'F12 Artwork' milestone or something like that) and link to it as well so that people would have a better idea about current progress and what still needs to be done.
Thanks, Martin
