First time a number is used on Installer. The design is a welcome change especially on the top. Could you take off the three trails for comparison?

I love it! Although, the logo is pretty solid and so I think it should either be aligned to the center or some color or a darker element should be added to the right (color or darken the trails, maybe?). :)
its lovely... :) but don't u think the gray number is not looking prominent over light background....

Nice! Very stylish and clean.... I like the subdued, brushed-metal look.
I agree that the contrast between the F-logo and the 13 is a bit stark. I'd make the logo a bit more de-saturated, maybe fading a bit into the background as well. If that is possible, dunno about possible logo guidelines against this...
Nice work! Fab

Right, the logo guidelines would argue against doing that. I think it's a really exciting and different look overall. I wonder if it would work with a lightly colored (i.e. highly desaturated) version of the trails graphic.

OK, thanks for clearing that up! Will keep it in mind for the future.

Heh... after I sent that I saw the slightly desaturated look Mo did, and it just didn't seem like as big a deal as I imagined in my (admittedly aging and morning-befuddled) head. :-) I think it could be desaturated too much, probably, but I don't think that treatment went that far, and I think most of you designer and artist types would know when it did. Probably more so than me!

I very like it. Great idea for silver background. Maybe expand the background including the area around the logo (center will be more balanced). Nice work :)
Thanks, Alexander.
I understand that the banner should be in line with the desktop theme ?

Thanks for the feedback! Here's another iteration - what do you think?

oh here it is in greyscale. I kind of like it better grey but I'm not sure?

I like the color version better, and I love the second iteration.

Maybe it's an overused trick, in movies and such, but what if we opened with the greyscale one, and closed with the colored one? E.g. your computer is waking up / seeing in color once Fedora starts getting installed :)
?

Love it. Colored and gray. If you go with the colored one, make it real bright. :)
