Hi all,
We didnt get to it during the FAD over the weekend, but a few people were interested in how to create the triangles background that we are using on the 3 flavours logos, and i was going to do a tutorial explaining it, but we ran out of time :(
However, I thought (maybe as the first in a series), that i might be able to conduct a live screencast for the design team on how to do this technique.
Live screencasts like this would also be awesome to do semi-regularly so we can all share our knowledge with each other.
Anyone keen to attend / view such a thing?
cheers, ryanlerch
This would be awesome to see and I totally would be up for learning how to Inkscape better :)

If its possible please gather the series on youtube, and somewhere in our website too - that who is later coming would be able to see them.
Moreover - I suggest to open single website/wiki what we can call eg. Fedora Open Classrooms (where we teach freely everybody), and we can list/search back earlier teachings/titles too.
btw +huge 1 - never late to learn new tricks, and I never forget that Mo has teached to me how repair/fix pictures back in our earlier Fudcon design class... Thx Mo!
Ps: Our design member Kesigomu earlier has created an intro for such videos, if you need it ping me to dig out.

+1 from me as well.
For YouTube it would be a good idea to host them there and once we get a couple of videos available we could have a Fedora Creates or similar Channel

I've always wanted to know if Fedora would be interested in setting up a Media Goblin [1] installation, to help raise awareness of the project.
This feels like a good "project" to explore Media Goblin as an alternative to YouTube. But I suspect it would require more effort on our parts as the software does not seem to offer all the feature that a YouTube channel would, for example. And the installation seems complex, which is why I haven't tried it at home yet.
Thoughts from the group?

I'd be more keen to produce a proper screencast than just publish recordings of lessons. Every recording of a live lesson i have seen is kind of dragged out and hard to follow if you arent watching it live.
The technique i am proposing for this first one is kind of quick, (maybe 15 - 30mins), and i am happy to do it more than once. Would people be keen for a quick live screencast of it today? (if so, jump into #fedora-design on IRC, and we can set it up :) )
