Hi design team pandas,
At the meeting this week gnokii mentioned we may want to coordinate on a team presence at Flock.
I started a list of design team members intending to go to Flock and ideas for topics we have. These are the topics to be proposed so far:
1) Design Clinic (gnokii) - bring your UI or artwork or unfiled design team ticket to an open "office hours" session with design team members and get feedback / critique / help.
2) Wallpaper Hunt (gnokii) - design team members with cameras could plan a group photoshoot to get nice pictures that could make good wallpapers for F23 (rietcatnor suggested Highland Park as a good potential place to go.)
3) Badge Design Workshop (riecatnor) - learn how to create new badges
Any other ideas on talks we could present?

I'm planning to go. I think it would be great to have some UX-related sessions - since one of our team goals is to do more UX work. I'd love to have something hands-on like a user testing workshop. And this is me volunteering you, mo, but it might also be cool to do a UX case study talk around hyperkitty or anaconda.

I don't know if I am speaker material in UX/UI related stuff, but I can take a session on UX thought process and mockups using Inkscape. It would look something like this session [1] I proposed for FUDCon Pune. I was not involved in Hyperkitty or anaconda so it all depends on the 'masters'

Hi,
I would love to help in part of UI/UX and also photography things to, since it’s my daily job now. :)
My another idea it’s about svg and css, such as svg animation (SMIL) and svg responsive, maybe it can relate with web things. I can help in that part.

Hi . I have one great idea . I have some projects and this spell some time , but I see one game engine named : Godot Engine. I think with some help from design-team and fedora developers we can give fedora users one great fedora game. When we have a coffee break this future game can help us with one great game and also schedule our time. The project can be done. We have users with skils and this help fedora ambassadors to promote fedora. Also the windows users can have a windows or android , because this engine can make all outputs to many OS. What do you think about this ideea ? Thank's . Regards.

One idea to consider is to have a session for attendees to experience the value in having UX testing/involvement during development efforts. I attended a UX conference workshop that was really helpful in doing this.
The session attendees are grouped and asked to build an application (all the same application). They're given paper, pens, etc - material for paper prototyping/drawing. The groups are given 5 minutes (or some other amount) to put together an iteration of the interface. At the end, there is user testing done via the paper prototype (someone from the another group acts as "user", or facilitator(s) do, but must be someone from outside the group). Then another 5 minute iteration to incorporate the feedback. Then more testing ... etc.
That's a brief explanation, and I'm not sure if this kind of activity fits into Flock-style sessions/rooms.
The real value here is everyone gets to see how helpful it is to actually test their ideas _while designing the solution_. Usability testing is good, but best when incorporated into the building process.
I'm looking at the Flock dates to see if I can try to attend. Would love to help put the idea together and perhaps facilitate if I can attend.
Thoughts?
