Hello,
I have a problem with Maven building in Fedora rawhide. The same package builds fine in Fedora 19/20. There are no errors in the build log, just warnings; so the build should not fail.
I'm not sure where the bug is. Maybe it's related to maven-war-plugin or a bug in Maven:
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins: maven-war-plugin:2.4:war (default-war) on project guacamole: Mark invalid -> [Help 1]
I'm not a Java expert, can someone help me shed some light on this?
Here is the failed build.log:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=6925854
I have a zipped archive of the build.log with "%mvn_build -- -X" for debugging but is too big for fpaste or to be shipped to this mailing list.
Thanks, --Simone

This looks like this upstream bug: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MSHARED-325
There is no fix available, but you can workaround it by disabling filtering of certain resources, for example:
# Disable filtering of bundled JavaScript binaries, which causes # maven-filtering to fail with IOException (see MSHARED-325). %pom_add_plugin :maven-resources-plugin slf4j-site " <configuration> <nonFilteredFileExtensions> <nonFilteredFileExtension>js</nonFilteredFileExtension> </nonFilteredFileExtensions> </configuration>"

can't make this work. Can someone help me on this? I'm no expert and I don't really know how to fix it.
This is the part that I've added to the %build section:
# Disable filtering of bundled JavaScript binaries, which causes # maven-filtering to fail with IOException (see MSHARED-325). %pom_add_plugin :maven-war-plugin guacamole " <configuration> <nonFilteredFileExtensions> <nonFilteredFileExtension>js</nonFilteredFileExtension> </nonFilteredFileExtensions> </configuration>"
But it doesn't help. The error I have in the full build log (-X) is as follows:
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-war-plugin:2.4:war (default-war) on project guacamole: Mark invalid -> [Help 1] org.apache.maven.lifecycle.LifecycleExecutionException: Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-war-plugin:2.4:war (default-war) on project guacamole: Mark invalid
If any Java guru would like to step in as co-maintainer of Guacamole it's really welcome. The software is fantastic, but the Java part gives me a lof of headaches everytime there is a Java packaging guidelines change.
Upstream project: http://guac-dev.org/

Sorry for not responding sooner, I probably missed your message.
I've applied the workaround and built the package in Koji.

No worries, everyone is busy and time is limited. Not being a Java developer I have a hard time understanding some of the things. The "fix" I was trying to add was totally different and wrong than what you applied.
Thank you very much! --Simone
