Hi Folks,
We set up bi-weekly calls after our last Team meetup in March 2021. For the
past couple of months there has been almost no attendance. This is okay! I
understand there are a multitude of potential reasons behind this.
However, I have a very full calendar, and this is holding space. I would
like to make some changes. In order to do that, I want to understand what
the team would find beneficial. If folks could weigh in on what they would
like to see for a Team meetings or check ins, that would be great.
If you fall into one of these categories, just responding with that info
would be helpful. Feel free to respond off list if you that is more
comfortable :)
1. I would join the bi-weekly IRC meeting, but I can't make the current time
2. I would join the bi-weekly IRC meeting, but I have too much going on
right now
3. I would join the bi-weekly IRC meeting, but it is too unstructured
4. I would prefer a monthly IRC meeting
5. I would prefer a monthly video meeting
6. I would join a meeting, but I am new/unsure of what we are doing
Hope to hear from you!
Best,

Hi Fedora Friends,
Join us this week in celebrating the Fedora Project's diversity with
storytelling!
Fedora Week of Diversity
------------------------------------
Fedora's Diversity & Inclusion Team[0] decided in the spring of 2021 at a
virtual meetup to transition our yearly "Fedora Women's Day" to "Fedora
Week of Diversity". Fedora Week of Diversity runs October 3-9th and
features a series of interviews with community members telling their Fedora
stories [1]. We also initialized a Recommended Resources page in the D&I
Team Docs that we will continue to improve upon [2]. Last, but not least,
we (finally) published the videos from Fedora Women's Day 2020 to the
Fedora YouTube channel [3]. This week will be full of highlights from this
content to showcase Fedora's diversity!
Join us at this week's Fedora Social Hour!
-------------------------------------------------------
We are taking over the Fedora Social Hour this week for Fedora Week of
Diversity. Come hang out with a crew of Fedorans and chat about life,
hobbies, and Fedora stories! The Social Hour is Thursday October 7th at
14:00 UTC. Join via the Fedora Social Element Room [4] and jump into the
Jitsi conference if you're up to it. We can't wait to see you there!
Looking forward to next year...
----------------------------------------
The Fedora D&I Team always welcomes new folks to join in the discussion. We
would love to have a larger group of volunteers to make Fedora Week of
Diversity bigger and better next year. If you want to get involved, join
our bi-weekly call to chat [4] and get to know folks around Fedora's D&I
Team.
