I really want to thank the Fedora project for being so welcoming to me, you guys are awesome!
Hiya Dolores, and welcome to Fedora CommOps! We're happy to have you here. :)
Community outreach and diversity efforts are one of the things CommOps is helping with in Fedora. Eventually, there might be a formal Diversity working group down the line too, with tatica's recent appointment as the Diversity Adviser. For me personally, it's really cool to see people from other distributions and communities join forces to accomplish the same types of goals. There's so many things we can all help each other with and that type of cross-community collaboration is what the spirit of open source is all about.
We're looking forward to having you here in both CommOps and Fedora. If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask either in IRC or the mailing list at any time. :)

Welcome Dolores!!
I'm sure we will learn a ton from your experiences and have a fantastic interaction with other groups. We are organizing our first activity, the Fedora Women Day, so please, feel free to ping any of us at IRC. We held bi-monthly meetings, yet, we are talking like crazy every single day (at least to say hi!)
Fantastic news to have even more people aboard!

Meskarune,
Super Welcome! I'd like to echo jflory7's sentiments here and say it is *really* awesome to see cross-community collaboration going on here, and I think that we can learn lots from your experience.
If you haven't been pointed to it yet, there are a couple of onboarding resources we have for new users, with our general purpose sorting hat here http://whatcanidoforfedora.org, and the specific onboarding steps for the Community Operations (CommOps) team here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/CommOps/Join.
We all hang out in #fedora-commops (many of us in #fedora-diversity and #fedora-outreachy) where we talk shop, answer questions, and generally make awesome :)
We look forward to getting to know you :)
Happy Hacking, --RemyD.
P.S. - As we are now getting more formalized around D&I, perhaps we could add an entry to our WCIDFF for getting more folks involved with these programs? Maybe it would be helpful to add info about your program onto the Fedora wiki as well, to help strengthen the bridges and get more cross-pollination going on too? :)
