Ticket 2758: https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/2758 rync for fedorahosted would really help Hosted folks get a python script as their shell that allows them to do a limited set of tasks on the hosted machine. The above is a request to add rsync to the already existing scp for uploading releases. The script they have is in: configs/system/run-* (There is a different one for each scm type). This would be a nice little python scripting project for someone new. ;) kevin

Greetings (sorry for those of you getting this twice, I wanted to cc the fi-apprentice group on it as well as the infra list. Please reply if you like to the infra list only. ;) I just filed ticket 2783: https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/2783 This is a great starting task for apprentice folks IMHO. It will let you see some of our systems and how puppet works. ;) If any of you wishes to work on this, just note in the ticket which machine you are looking at, then add to the ticket the list of files you think should be further checked as questionable. :) If you don't have time/aren't interested in this task, no problem. I will be whipping up some more soon... kevin

[Change Request] Have spins.fp.o build from different branch

Hi all, We need to change our current build for spins.fp.o since its pulling from the incorrect branch. The reason for this request is so that we can update the master branch for the upcoming release, otherwise, we'll have to do them the morning of the release. Add some mirror ip's to dl0[1-5]

I'd like to add a few mirrors to the acls on dl0[1-4]: 64.122.217.133 - fedora unity guys. They want to be able to spruce up guides over the weekend. (They were in the old acls, but didn't get moved over to the new ones somehow) 75.148.32.185 - my home ip. Freeze break: fix maps script

I noticed the other day that the maps script, which produces: http://fedoraproject.org/maps/ has not been running correctly since the move to log02. It's trying in the script to make a /var/lib/fi-mapping dir as the apache user and failing. After that it has pretty much none of it's work files, so it fails. /etc/system_identification missing on some hosts?

I receive an odd message on bastion02 when I logon. The message is: $system_identification has not been defined for this host. Please do so. For more information see /etc/system_identification I actually see the contents of system_identification on puppet02. Is there a reason why some hosts have this file and others don't? Where would one "fix" this? Would we add it in the puppet git repo and change the host configuration in puppet to include the corresponding module or constraint? -Adam

OUTAGE: nfs01 server - 2011-05-18

From 20:26UTC until 20:34UTC today, the nfs01 server dropped off the network. The machine was rebooted at 20:34. This outage does not seem to have affected any builds or updates pushes (the main machines that use this service). Reason for the outage is still under investigation. kevin

backup02 io scheduler change

Greetings. I had to reboot backup02 today as it had a number of stuck rsync processes on it. ;( It's also somewhat regularly hitting OOM even though it has 8GB allocated to it. ;( I'd like to try changing the i/o scheduler from cfq to deadline and see if it helps it any with backups. ;) So, +1s? comments? kevin
