I want a Fedora-ARM t-shirt!
Anyone else interested in getting some made up? Any ideas on design? (One idea that crossed my mind was a medium blue shirt with "Fedora ARM" on the sleeve, but maybe that's too subtle :-)

This design Idea comes to mind:
<Text centred in a ringed of stylized line art of several Arm Devices (Dev boards, Tablets, Plug computers, Coffee Machine??>
Fedora ARM /More then just embedded./
I know I don't have the artistic experience to do it up, but maybe we could convince a member of the Fedora Art team.

I just cancelled my cafepress account as new terms effective next month give them the right to sell my designs to third parties :-P
Ugh I don't think that would be allowed with Fedora Logo.

Cool thought! I'll sure join when some are available to order.
ARM on the sleeve made me smile :D
Personally I'm not creative enough to create a design or come up with something. I'll throw the topic in some conversations and maybe I find someone with ideas. There are some designs available here: - http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Artwork/T-Shirt

The Arm on the sleeve gave me a chuckle too. If we did StrongARM, Then you could just use the big muscled arm logo they have, with a fedora logo tattoo on it and a couple of small penguins rolling down the bicep muscle hill.

Another idea.. I can't -quite- make it fit, but.. Get F RISC e e v d e o r r y a o n e
Where the Fedora coming down Could just be the Fedora F Logo, and Everyone, could be embedded or You. The F logo could also be held by the hand in the arm of the idea. You could put a ARM as a tattoo type of thing on the bicep.. It would be better if I could find a better word that being with E or Y.

A+ for imagination, but...
I think it's overly "busy" and complicated, plus the reading of "Get RISC" doesn't necessarily inspire people who don't know what that means - and we do live in a world where the average enthusiastic but not yet involved person who wants to get involved, even with Fedora on ARM may not know terms like "Harvard Architecture", RISC, and so forth.
Personally, I favor a really simple design along the lines that Chris posted. It says "Fedora ARM", it is what it says :)

I agree it could look too busy, but "Get FRISCY you" or "Get FRISCE Everyone" Is eye catching. :) I could talk my 21 yr old neighbor girls into wearing them. even though when you ask them what kind of computer they have, they answer "pink". Although im not sure it could replace the "P I N K" on their butts..

Here are a few I threw out.. They might sound better to someone else..
"A Call to ARM(s)" With a cellphone and the Fedora Logo in the display and the logo has interlocking arms around it.
"High Power, Low Energy" with a Fedora ARM logo in the middle. (Possibly with a lightning bolt through the middle although that might look to deadheadish..)
"My ARM(s) can perform wonders (what about yours?/Try it)"
"More capable with Reduced Instructions".
"Environmentally Friendly"
"Not Hot, just RISCy"
"I can execute(/fit) in places, you've only(/never) dreamed of" or "performing in places, you've only dreamed of" "Performs best in Tight Spaces" "Great performance in tight spaces"
Any others?

I assume we can use the Fedora logo/name without any special permission (as long as we follow the usage guidelines), but would we need to request permission to use the ARM logo/name on a shirt?

Hi Dave. There's contact details on ARM's trademark page: http://www.arm.com/about/trademark-usage-guidelines.php

Also, just to note, I reached out to a friend at ARM about this last week. I think we should stay away from using the logo directly. But that's fine, we don't need to do that :) Later, when we take over the world, it'll be easy to get a bunch of company logos everywhere :P

We should make a mockup *with* the logo and send it to trademarks@arm.com. It will be evaluated, and either remarks will be given or permission granted.
