relax dependencies of "kate"?

default kde startscreen (splash) missing after update

Hallo since the update to kde 4.6.1 the default kde startscreen (splash) is missing. I can chose none, Laughlin, Leonidas (where I get an error), Simple and SimpleSmall. Is this removed? Greetings Martin

F15 Beta TC1 desktop live images now available for validation

After 4.6.1 dim fonts in file managers

After upgrade to 4.6.1 today I see in file managers (konqueror or dolphin) that in "detail" mode all the information columns now display in a dim or gray font. The file names are still normal font. I don't see a way to get back to normal fonts for all. Is there a way? -gene
