Good day all,
Just wondering if this is just me or if anyone else experiences this, when I click on the far left button or right click on a window title bar, the menu which comes up, comes up in the top left corner of the screen.
No matter were the window is on the desktop it always appears at the top of the screen, yet when I press Alt+F3 on the keyboard is shows in the right place.
I thought this might have gone away in 4.7 but its still there.
anyone else see this?
Thanks Martin
I see it here too

On this box (F15/4.6.5) the menu appears exactly where I right click on the title bar. So if I right click on the middle of the title bar the menu opens there and drops down in the open window.
No matter were the window is on the desktop it always appears at the top of the screen, yet when I press Alt+F3 on the keyboard is shows in the right place.
ALT/F3 acts the same as clicking on the far left title bar icon (Menu) and the menu opens top left corner of the open window not the Desktop.
Video driver problems maybe?
Colin
It might be, Nvidia with kmods from rpmfusion installed here.

hmm... Nvidia hardware here too *but* Nouveau drivers and Desktop effects are enabled.
I also do not see this issue with Nvidia hardware, using nouveau (no kmods/kmdls).

I did a little experiment in a virtual Machine using fedora 15-kde + kde-unstable. First updated KDE and excluded the qt bits, and the menu worked as expected. Then I upgraded qt to 4.8 beta and there it is again. So I would say it's a qt problem, no?

I think so because I have qt-4.7.3-8.fc15.x86_64 installed.
Cheers

Hi,
Just installed Fedora 16 final TC1. The right click issue is still present, ALT+F3 works as expected.
@Martin: Did you open a report at nokia? Do you have a number?
Martin Kho Using: nouveau, kde-4.7.2, X86_64, qt-4.8.0-0.13.rc1.fc16.x86_64
thanks Martin
