Has anyone other the problem that kmix (KDE 4.6.1 kde-testing) consumes 100% CPU, i ca repdroduce this on two machines with F14 x86_64
Workstation Core2Quad, Nvidia Notebook Core2Duo ATI
Seems to be introduced by one of the updates last week, was not so with the first 4.6.1 packages and i can not say what it triggers
my workaround now is a "killall kmix" if it happens

I had this with 4.5.95 and then also with 4.6.1 my temporary fix was to quit Kmix and remove/move the kmix files in .kde/share/apps/kmix and .kde/share/config
Not ideal but works..
Here are some similar bug reports @ kde.bugs and look it likes it could be fixed in #237239
#267212 #264292 #237239

I believe I saw this also, and it stopped when I killed amarok.

it is not the source of the problem because amarok is here not installed (mpd running in background) and on the notebook no audioplayer is running, maybe some mediaplayer triggers this, difficult to say because on modern machines you will not realize it in the first moment and later i can not say what triggered it really :-(
I have also noticed this problem. On my system, kmix consumes 50% CPU. I reported it in bug #691112.
